The internet discovers that dandelions are waterproof

A new viral trend on TikTok sees people proving that dandelions are waterproof – and the internet is going insane.

While the internet has its downfalls (like fake news and cyber bullying), it remains a powerful education tool. The latest phenomenon that is taking the internet by storm is the discovery that dandelions are waterproof – and users have been sharing the discovery on social networking sites like TikTok.

A man named Juma, known as @juma.mhlanga on TikTok, shared the first viral video of the startling discovery. In his video, he shared a previous clip of the discovery before running out into his garden to get a dandelion himself and coming back inside to also put it in a glass of water.

Juma then pulls the plant out of the water and it magically puffs back up into its original form. The discovery leaves Juma, and the rest of the internet, shocked.

“No way… mind blown,” one user wrote. Another added: “This is insane! This is totally going to be my next party trick”.

The video inspired other users to go and see if dandelions are, in fact, waterproof for themselves – resulting in a slew of TikTok videos being made about the topic.
