"If you can make grown men cry, then you are a legend" - Sky on Diego Maradona's death
Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky
As tributes continue to pour in for football legend Diego Maradona, our very own Sky Tshabalala also honoured the late Argentine great.
The world of football, and arguably sport, came to a standstill on Wednesday, 25 November, when news about the passing of one of the greatest footballers of all time, Diego Maradona, broke.
As millions of people mourn and honour the world-renowned former footballer from Argentina in many different ways, Sky Tshabalala also joined in to pay tribute.
For me, I'm a bit too young to remember Diego Maradona when he won the Wold Cup for Argentina in 1986 - I wasn't even born - but I think the clips I've seen of him and the reviews I've read about him certainly put a picture in my mind that he was arguably THE GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME, but to some "one of the greatest players of all time." For me, Messi and Ronaldo are the greatest players of all time; they come from my generation. But we are talking here about a man who was much of a bad boy on the football pitch as he was off it. 1986 will always be remembered as the World Cup where Maradona proved that he is the best in the game. 'The Hand of God' will live long in u memories- probably the reason why England pushed hard for VAR. I can gladly say that his second goal against England in the 1986 WC is the greatest individual goal I've ever seen by any football player. They say "dynamite comes in small packages" and he's the epitome of that. He single handedly won the WC for Argentina. He'll long live as THE magician on the football field. Leading Napoli to two Serie A titles. He is celebrated and it is only fitting that the entire world mourns one of the greatest sportsmen we've ever seen with our eyes. Diego Maradona, never got to see him play, but if you can make grown men cry because of football then you deserve your place as a legend in world sports.- Sky Tshabalala
