Updated | By East Coast Breakfast / Lilitha Bodlani
Awkward...
Okay, guys, here's the thing about skipping work... nobody should do it.
The East Coast Breakfast team of Darren Maule, Sky Tshabalala, and Carmen Reddy discussed the story of SARS winning a case to fire a 'sick' employee seen at an EFF protest march.

According to the story, the employee claimed to be sick, only to be seen on TV by his bosses at the EFF protest at Clicks in Sandton.
So that begged the question, if you have ever skipped work, were you caught?
Now that you have heard the people and have faced the music, it's time to learn from these mistakes and avoid falling into the same traps again.
Here are some practical tips to help you become a punctuality pro:

- Plan your mornings: Lay the groundwork for punctuality by organising your mornings efficiently. Prepare your clothes, pack your lunch, and set aside your work essentials the night before.
- Set multiple alarms: To avoid alarm clock problems, set multiple alarms at intervals that will ensure you get up on time.
- Be honest with yourself: If you're feeling burnt out or overwhelmed, consider discussing it with your supervisor rather than resorting to a phantom illness.
- Carpool or use public transport: If traffic jams are a frequent issue, explore alternatives like carpooling with colleagues or using public transportation.
- Track Your Progress: Keep a record of your punctuality progress. Celebrate small victories and learn from any setbacks.
