The news from Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba came as a shock not only to the city, but the nation as well. Mashaba stepped down as mayor when Hellen Zille was elected chair of the DA’s federal council on Sunday.
Madia said that today's executive meeting will be very difficult for the party considering the new developments. She also added that details about who will be the new mayor and when he/she will be appointed are not clear.
