Heart Stuff is an East Coast Breakfast project that wants to make a difference in the lives of those who need a helping hand.

#HeartStuff: A race we must run

We kicked off the first leg of Heart Stuff with a nomination made by Lauren wrote in to us to tell us about the most amazing group of runners.

The runners are a group of friends Lauren knows from work. When she got to know them and their backgrounds, she was touched by their difficulties and wanted to do something to make their lives a little better.

When she heard that Mfanafuthi Manhique, Nkosinathi Cele and Sipho Myeni are Comrades runners, she wanted to help them out with running equipment but did not have the means to help until she heard of Heart Stuff.

Here's how it all happened:

The anticipated hand-over happened at Solly M Sports store where Imtiaz Karodia - the executive manager - was readily waiting for us with the goodie bags filled with gifts for the runners.

And we, as the East Coast Breakfast team had little gifts of our own. Check it out
