Durban finally caught it!
The BetwaySA20 has been unforgettable for South Africa. From viral videos to stellar performances, the cricket has impressed loyal fans and social watchers on a scale like never before.
The question of the season was, "Who was going to catch the ball that could have you winning a share of R2-million?"
One man named Tyler Smith did the unimaginable... he caught the ball right here in KZN!
We caught up with this lucky listener to share how the moment went down. Our very own Sports Lead, Sky Tshabalala, caught up with this legend:
There was no butter fingers here! This Durbanite showed off with a catch that had our eyes glued to the screen.
Tyler recounts: “You never think you’re gonna catch it until it happens.”
The crowd went wild when they learnt that Tyler caught the ball and social media has been abuzz ever since.
At this current time, his share of R2-million is uncertain. He reckons he will be snagging a spicy R333,000 for his once-in-a-lifetime catch.
