Glam Gran make-over reveal is amazing!
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
This transformation will leave you speechless!
We ran a Glam Gran competition, urging KZN to nominate their grannies for a make-over.
After hundreds of entries, Pearl Pearson was the lucky recipient of the prize.
Pearl Pearson was nominated by her granddaughter - Futhi Pearson, who gushed about her amazing grandmother.
Fay and Megan Coleman from Image Insured sponsored the make-over, offering a day of pampering, shopping, styling, and a total transformation.
Here is Pearl before...

Pearl getting her make-up done:
Pearl is an 'Autumn' with warm undertones to her skin and for that reason we took her hair to a warm golden blonde. People with 'warm skin tones' don't do well with grey hair, as it enhances the pinkness of their skin (as you can see in the before photo).
One always has to counteract what you skin tone throws out and that is why we have also chosen warm undertone clothing and make-up for Pearl which makes her skin look more even and healthy.
There is actually a 'formula' to looking good and this all depends on one's skin tone, hair colour, and eye colour. When we did Pearl's 'Figure Analysis' we discovered that she was an A-Shape (or Pear), therefore we broadened her shoulders to balance her body.
Here's a glimpse into the full transformation:
And finally, here is Pearl after her make-over looking absolutely amazing...
Thank you Futhi for nominating your grandmother and Image Insured for supporting this great initiative!
