New Twitter owner Elon Musk published details of his new paid-for Twitter plan on Tuesday night. He wants to charge $8 per month for a package that will include a verification tick, fewer ads, and priority in replies and mentions. The price will be adjusted in different countries by purchasing power parity. That implies a price of R60 per month in South Africa.

SANRAL has announced that repairs to the middle and fast lanes on the northbound carriageway on the N3 between Sanctuary and Link Road in Pietermaritzburg will be completed by December.

The death toll of alleged illegal miners whose bodies were found placed in Krugersdorp on Wednesday has risen to 21, following the discovery of two more bodies by the police’s search and rescue team on Thursday morning.

A Dutch court sent two Belgian climate change activists to prison on Wednesday for a protest targeting Johannes Vermeer's painting, 'Girl with a Pearl Earring'. The demonstrators, who are part of the campaign group Just Stop Oil Belgium, were each given sentences of two months, one of which was suspended.
