The incorrect spelling of a road marking in Hanover Park, Cape Town left social media users in disbelief as the word "SCHOOL" was misspelled as "SHCOOL". Ward 48 councillor Zahid Badroodien said the error was an honest mistake that could have been made by anyone.

Over 190,000 illegally obtained driver's licences have been sent to provincial MECs for cancellation as the Department of Transport sweeps through corruption at testing stations after a Special Investigating Unit probe.

The National Institute for Communicable Disease (NICD) has detected a further four cases of measles in the Greater Sekhukhune District, bringing the total number of cases to seven. It said the ages of measles-infected cases ranged from nine months to 24 years.
