Wednesday morning with us all the way from Johannesburg, the city of gold. The weather is as cloudy as it probably is in Durban. Nevertheless, the stories we have for you will matter wherever you are.

Firstly, we have established that Elon Musk is one of the wealthiest people to come out of South Africa.

He is extremely rich. So rich that he can fund South Africa’s consolidated state spending for two years.

By the end of those two years, he would still be richer than South Africa's richest person, Nicky Oppenheimer. He is worth more than Warren Buffet and Bill Gates combined and he can personally buy the top 20 companies in South Africa without batting an eye.

What is R4-trillion?! Almost impossible!

The Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney will no longer be giving autographs to fans. He made the revelation in an interview with Reader's Digest, explaining that he doesn't see the point of fans having his signature because "we both know who I am".

READ MORE: South Africa players will not take a knee before England matches

So, you might have seen the name 'Quinton De Kock' trending for the past 20+ hours on social media platforms? He is a South African cricket player for the national team, Mumbai Indians, and the Titans.

Quinton de Kock withdrew from the Proteas match against the West Indies at the T20 World Cup on Tuesday after refusing to follow a directive forcing all players to take a knee.

To be clear, 'taking a knee' means kneeling on the ground, a gesture of solidarity with the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. It has been done by national teams in varying countries voluntarily at international sporting events since the death of George Floyd in the US.

His refusal and withdrawal is a controversial conversation in the country and in cricket and sports news internationally.

We will be sharing our thoughts about this later in the show.
