We may find a massive spike in the number of traffic fines issued to motorists in the next couple of weeks and months if there is no leniency to expired licenses.
Licenses which expired between 26 March 2020 and 31 August 2021 are invalid from yesterday, with hundreds of thousands of licenses still on backlog.

Las Vegas is set to host its first F1 race since the 1980s in November 2023. The race will take place at night on the Las Vegas Strip "with the track sweeping past some of the world's most legendary landmarks, hotels, and casinos."

The general fuel levy will be cut by R1.50 per litre from Wednesday next week to 31 May 2022, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced on Thursday.
This will reduce the levy for petrol from R3.85 per litre to R2.35 per litre. The levy on diesel will be reduced from R3.70 per litre to R2.20 per litre.
