1.

Two men sustained injuries when their light aircraft crashed on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Strand in the Western Cape. The details surrounding the accident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigation. A great landing, to be honest! The jury reached a verdict on Wednesday in the high-profile defamation case between 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp has been awarded $15-million in damages.

Kurt Zouma has been sentenced to 180 hours of community service after pleading guilty to kicking and slapping a cat in a viral video.  The West Ham defender was handed a 12-month community order and also banned from keeping cats for five years. He was told to pay nearly £9,000 in court costs.

Virgin Atlantic has lifted its requirement for cabin crew members to conceal tattoos on their arms and legs as it seeks to become a more inclusive employer. The news comes as the company plans to hire 300 more flight attendants to meet surging demand for international travel.

A video of President Cyril Ramaphosa petting a dog has been making the rounds in South Africa. In the video, the South African President can be seen petting what seems to be a Siberian Husky.
