Five things you may not have seen at the Comrades

We love everything about what we just learned from this video...

The Comrades Marathon is an exciting annual event for the people of KZN and surrounds.

But we rarely get to see things from the point of view of a runner. Yusuf Omar, a video content creator, shared an interesting video that revealed five things that happened during the race.

1. Omar revealed that his father said his morning prayer at the start of the race. We agree that is true dedication.

2. There's a man who he calls the 'Speedo Guy'. He runs the Comrades in a Speedo to raise awareness about testicular cancer.

3. Then there's the 'Barefoot Guy'. This man runs the Comrades Marathon barefoot every year for charity.

4. Jiggle Man - a man who wears a tambourine on his waist to create some music during the race.

5. This one really moved us; his dad, who has run the Comrades 13 times, completed the race and went straight to his son's wedding.

Watch the video of him revealing the sweet moment his father arrived at his son's wedding after running all those kilometres.
