The pizza is already getting rave reviews from customers who have visited the joint from all over the province – many of which discovered the new restaurant after a video went viral on TikTok.
In the clip, the duo shared their journey of building up their restaurant space and the glow up that came with it. In the video, the duo show the country how they transformed a garage into their own pizza joint and each milestone they achieved along the way.

From signing the lease to a celebratory drink, cleaning up and renovating the space and, finally, opening their doors, Luke and Michael got real about each and every step of their process.
Luke admits that the response to the video has been incredibly humbling. “We always wanted to do a series documenting everything and we posted it to social media so people could come along. We didn’t do it to try and sell our pizzas, we wanted to show that we had a dream and we were fighting for it,” he says.

The video has been watched hundreds of thousands of times, which helped the duo launch their restaurant in style. In fact, Michael adds that the video was so popular that they had patrons visiting all the way from Pretoria.
“They said the moment they arrived in Durban they had to find us. They saw our TikToks and wanted to support us which felt incredible. We always worked for other people and decided to take the risk and become our own bosses so to get love for our dreams is indescribable,” he says.
Launching their own pizzeria had been a dream of the duo for over a year now and they’re excited that Durban is as excited as they are about the new spot. “We did it all and were hands-on throughout, from carrying bricks and blocks for the walls to painting them, building the wood-fire oven and staining the wood for our entrance. We still have more to do. We are on a learning curve,” Luke continues.
