East Coast Breakfast chats to the man behind the #DurbanWave viral video
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Massive waves along the Durban promenade set panic as sudden cyclonic conditions hit the city this past weekend and one man was brave enough to capture it all.
A typically warm and sunny day at the Durban beach front quickly turned into panic and chaos as massive waves took over the golden mile.
It's believed that the harsh weather is a result of Cyclone Enawo - which battered the coast of Madagascar this week, causing devastation there and has since affected the weather system in Durban.
The news quickly spread on social media with people uploading videos and pictures of the massive waves and rubble left behind.
