Even Durban to Joburg flights need a good puffer jacket
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Having a good puffer jacket for Winter is always a good investment, especially with the freezing temperatures in Johannesburg right now.
We cannot complain about the cold as much as our fellow South Africans in Johannesburg, who are currently experiencing the chilly weather.
Most of KZN only truly feels the cold at night and early mornings; otherwise, we have sunny days.
But as any KZNer will tell a Joburger, we feel cold. Perhaps this is because we are not accustomed to the cold weather, so it is unbearable when we do feel a bit of cold.
Joburgers are fond of cracking a joke or two about KZNers for overdressing during Winter, and that's fair, considering our capacity to handle the cold is not great.
This is why we laughed so hard at Devi Sankaree Govender's tweet this week. She posted a short clip of a flight arriving in Johannesburg from Durban.
The aircraft was pimped out in what looked like an aircraft-sized puffer jacket. It was super cute, and we agree it is a great invention. We assume the aircraft's puffer jacket keeps the passengers warm (to some extent) when landing.

Kudos to the person who created this!!! pic.twitter.com/1kxlJL4jpl
Please note that the above is not real, but merely a joke given the cold weather.
