Eight things successful people do in the evening
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Starting your day with a positive attitude is important, but so does ending your day right and here's how successful people do it:
It's important how we bridge from one end of the day to the beginning of the next for it sets the tune the next day to come. We've borrowed eight habits done by successful people in the evening, and we challenge you to adopt these good habits to end your day right, and set the tone for the next.
1. Read - and read with the purpose to learn something new. To grow, one must learn so select reading materials that will improve your growth, and no...gossip magazines do not apply. Feed your mind with useful and new information. You might uncover a talent or passion you never knew you had.

2. Spend time with the ones you love - Spend some time with those you love and deeply connect with. These are the people that will bring out the best in you, support and encourage you. This will make you happy, invite positive vibes and ease of the stress of daily life.

3. Chill out and do nothing - give your brain and body some rest and do absolutely nothing. Turn off the screens and the sounds, find a quiet corner, and quiet your mind. Meditate, do yoga or pray - whichever that works for you. This will promote good sleep.
4. Take Stock of what's happening - Keep a journal that you'll use to jot down all the events taking place in your life. Do some internal soul searching and figure out what works, does not work & what needs your attention. This will help keep key concepts at the top of your mind as you prepare for the next morning.

5. Take some time to exercise - yes, work out! It doesn't have to be hours at the gym, you can take a brisk walk, take a 30-minute yoga class or simple stretches that will relax your muscles and leave you relaxed rather than revved up.
6. Press Refresh - Don't take today's problems into the next day. Find a ritual that helps you rest your thoughts and body. This could be done through exercise or a cup of herbal tea to help you slow down.

7. Get Organised- Take up sometime in your evening to prepare for the next day. Prepare and pack your lunch early, charge your cell phone, pack anything you need to take with you, set out your clothes. You'll have a better night's rest knowing that morning errands have been covered.
8. Be grateful - Express gratitude whenever you can. Jot down 5 good things that took place in the day you are grateful for. This will boost your positive attitude and optimism, which in turn helps more good things happen.
Invite good vibes only.
