Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky
It's great to have people spread love, warmth, and positivity around this winter season...
Winter is a time where people snuggle up in blankets, sit close to a heater, and just maintain warmth any way they can throughout the season.
In South Africa, there are a lot of people who are battling with the constant rain, storms, and other weather problems. Just a couple of months ago, Durban experienced not one but two floods.

To help people less fortunate in our province, here are five things to consider getting involved with.
1. Volunteer at a feeding programme

5. Giving shelter to those who need it
During the KZN Floods, many homes were destroyed by the floods. If you have place in your home to spare for someone living on the street, giving them a safe space to live would do the world of good.
It doesn't need to be for a long time, but just until they get back on their feet. If you can't house them at your own home, then there are many places that offer night shelters. Here is a list of night shelters you could take a person to.
