Easter fishing frenzy hits KZN Coast

Easter weekend is here, and with a four-day break ahead, it's the perfect time catch a mix of non-edible and edible species.

From kob and grey sharks to bream and snoek, the KZN coast is alive with action – from epic harbour hotspots to big catches and everything in between.

With the Durban Ski Boat Festival just around the corner and a slew of hotspots, there's plenty for every angler, whether you're at sea or on the dam over the long weekend.

In the latest Angler News South Africa podcast episode, Vinesh Soogreem and the team highlight notable catches from the North Coast to the South Coast.

Durban Bay is on fire while up north, competition anglers promise exciting results.


The South Coast has seen strong showings of non-edible species, alongside some rockcod and Kob, and our South Coast reporter details the baits these species are feeding on.


The Junior Surf Casting Championships were also a success, featuring young anglers bringing in over 590 fish from Amanzimtoti.
