She's the first person with a PhD based exclusively on the science of making consistently good quality, delicious biltong.
Stellenbosch University student has made headlines all over the country on her very unique and very patriotic Ph.D. in our favourite savory snack, biltong.
Maxine Jones aka Dr. Biltong received her doctorate in food science where she focused on different aspects of biltong processing‚ including the use of standardised drying procedures to dry the meat.
We gave her a call and this is what she had to say...
