DStv is determined to ensure that their customers have the best viewing experience possible.
With the help of 4K technology, DStv aims to deliver a broadcast that is as close to being at the stadium as possible.
According to My Broadband, MultiChoice is working on airing the global rugby showpiece matches and the 2024 Olympic Games in 4K resolution.
Chief Operating Officer Simon Camerer is confident that ultra-high-definition (UHD) will bring more excitement for viewers.

“We will get to a point where 4K becomes more predominant," Camerer says.
4K technology has become increasingly popular in the last few years and provides an incredibly sharp picture and vivid colours.
This means that viewers will be able to see every detail of the action, even in the most intense and fast-paced moments of the game.
Furthermore, the 4K technology also allows for a wider viewing angle so that viewers will be able to see more of the field, making for a more immersive experience.
DStv also plans to make use of the latest audio technology to provide viewers with an immersive audio experience.
This will include surround sound and audio that is tailored to the action on the field.
This will ensure that viewers can hear every hit, tackle, and kick as if they were standing on the sidelines.
