Dricus du Plessis on if the UFC will come to South Africa
Updated | By East Coast Radio
“Now they know what we know...”
Mzansi’s very own Dricus du Plessis has made history in the UFC middleweight division. The finale had South African fans eagerly watching the main event unfold in the early hours of the morning.
As the jabs and kicks came to a halt, the crowd erupted into celebration for the middleweight champion. Dricus shouts: “Coach, coach! I want my flag. I want my flag! This is history! Suid-Afrika, nou weet hulle wat ons weet! (South Africa, now they know what we know!)”
It's been a month since Dricus du Plessis' bloody win and we are catching up with him in studio on East Coast Breakfast.

We asked Dricus: "Will the UFC come to South Africa and if so, where will it be?"
Watch as Dricus answers this burning question:
I don't really care where it is to be honest, as long as it is in South Africa. Is the deal sealed? Definitely not, but are we in talks? 100%.- Dricus du Plessis
Dricus goes on to explain that it would take creating a closed arena environment in South Africa. The UFC will not risk it due to weather and it is a preference by the MMA organisation.
