DKS Highlights of the Week: Info revealing chemicals contaminating Durban's beaches

An exclusive list of all the "highly toxic" chemicals in Durban's river and beaches was shared after intensive investigation.
Monday are usually supposed to be blue but never with Darren, Keri and Sky. We were able to get a hold of one the athletes from local Durban who went to the Olympics and represented us well. Emma Chelius, who is shy of 25 stepped into the studio and shared her life-changing experience at the #Tokyo2020 Olympics.
The rest of the interview includes details about her golden picture with Olympics tennis player, Novak Djokovic. She also shares how it felt meeting giant Chinese basketball player, Yao Ming.

The AmaBhungane investigative journalists shared a detailed report about the world's largest chemical company, United Phosphorus Limited. Their investigation has confirmed that UPL's warehouse held millions of litres of chemicals, some classified as “harmful”, “toxic” or “very toxic”.
Another alarming factor of the UPL saga is that they prefer not to comment or disclose why Durban's rivers and beaches are so heavily contaminated. We made the space to speak to one of the co-authors of the article about their journey collecting this exclusive and informative information.
