The Big Favour helps rebuild two schools
Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky
The Big Favour applied the theme “One Hand Can Feed Another” to two deserving schools for Mandela Day. Darren visits two KZN schools: Glenview Primary and Mount Haven Primary
When we look back on how much we have gone through as a province, especially following the KZN unrest, it is important that we do our best in helping each other wherever possible. Children are unfortunately caught up in all of the chaos that transpires, with absolutely no clue or hand in it, therefore it is fair that if they are affected as a result, we aid in the alleviation of the struggles or repercussions of such.
The Big Favour, together with ProSecure, HikVision, Vuma-tel, and Chatsworth ADF (Anti-Drug Forum), came together to donate R50,000 to two schools - Glenview Primary School in Phoenix and Mount Haven School in Chatsworth.
They donated other important items for the children, too.

Darren made his first visit to Mount Haven on Thursday, September 2, with the R50,000 cheque on ProSecure's helicopter.

He had a chance to speak to the school's principal, Mr Gouden, about his feelings on the new safety measure that the school will be afforded. Without a fence, it meant that anybody and anything could freely walk onto the school's premises, which poses potential threats.
Have a listen to how grateful he was for the amazing work The Big Favour, ProSecure, and other stakeholders have done for their 36-year-old school.

The next day was a Friday, which meant high spirits for everyone, including Darren Maule once again casually travelling by helicopter to local spots.
He made the trip to Glenview Primary School with ProSecure's Marketing Manager, Rajen, and our show producer, WR.

It is truly something to not take for granted, this generosity and real love and care that The Big Favour has for communities.
These children will now learn to also do the same for the community when they are older and capable.
Changing lives is one thing, but changing a child's life for the better is not only commendable, it changes the future as well.
