Teeing off for change: ECR’s CSI Golf Day hits a hole-in-one
East Coast Radio’s first-ever CSI Golf Day was a hole-in-one for community impact, raising over R700K for The Big Favour!
What do you get when you mix perfect greens, powerful swings, and a purpose that pulls at the heartstrings?
You get East Coast Radio’s very first CSI Golf Day, and wow, did we tee off in style!
Hosted at the breathtaking Mount Edgecombe Country Club, The Woods, this wasn’t just a golf day; it was the golf day.
A full-on celebration of good vibes, big hearts, and even bigger drives.
Beyond the laughs, friendly banter, and perfectly timed “fore!” shouts, the day was rooted in something deeply meaningful – The Big Favour.
It’s our long-standing CSI initiative that helps change lives across KZN in real, tangible ways.
And thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who joined us, we raised over R700,000!
That’s right – R700K going straight into changing lives in our communities. Now that’s impact.
From the moment the first 4-ball teed off to the grand prize-giving dinner later that evening, the energy was electric.
Our very own Darren Maule took the mic as MC, setting the tone for an unforgettable event.
We were honoured to welcome a line-up of truly inspiring guests, including MEC for Social Development Mbali Shinga, KTH Group CEO Paballo Makosholo, Group Financial Manager Devan Slabbert, Kagiso Media CEO Nick Grubb, as well as sporting legends and local business heavyweights.
And of course, a massive shoutout to all our incredible partners. Without you, none of this would’ve been possible (or nearly as fabulous).
From the ceramic champions at Italtile Ceramic/CTM to the community changemakers at the Department of Social Development, and the legends at Suncoast Tsogo Sun who always know how to bring the sparkle.
