Comrades star Bongmusa Mthembu talks Sports Personality nomination
Bongmusa Mthembu joined us in studio to chat about his nomination as Sports Personality of the Year at the KZN Sports and Recreation Awards. The event takes place on Saturday, 12 October.

We will always admire Bongmusa Mthembu for his humility and kindness. When he walked into the studio, he automatically warmed up the room with his smile. The last time he was here was a few days before the Comrades Marathon 2019.
Even though he took the second spot, he will always be a champ to us. Among the nominations is one of the recruits for the East Coast All-Stars, David Miller. The two are both extraordinary in their fields.

The KZN Sports and Recreation Awards honour the achievements of athletes, administrators, coaches, media, sporting bodies, and individuals who have performed gallantly in their different fields.
In 2017, Mthembu scooped two top awards at the KZN Sport Awards. Winners in this category are voted for via a SMS line by the public. Here's hoping he can bring it home again.
