Cell C Sharks head coach Sean Everitt leaves the union

Sharks head coach leaves the union after 15 years of service.
The Cell C Sharks have made a decision regarding their coach.
According to the Sharks' official website, the union announced that they have parted ways with their head coach, Sean Everitt.

This was in the wake of the humiliating 35-0 loss to Cardiff on Sunday.
The move was confirmed by the Sharks on Monday evening.
Neil Powell, the Sharks' director of rugby, will take charge of the side for the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup for the rest of the season.
Everitt's coaching staff remains in place, at least until the end of the season.

According to the statement made via the Sharks website, Dr Ed Coetzee, who is the CEO of the union, wrote a heartfelt letter for outgoing coach and true Durbanite Sean.
"We thank Sean for his invaluable contribution to the Sharks over the past few years, especially navigating through a challenging COVID-19 period," says Dr Coetzee.

The CEO did mention that despite the decision being difficult to make, it was made in the best interest of the team moving forward.
"The Director of Rugby, Neil Powell, will oversee the remainder of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship campaign as well as our first foray in the Champions Cup, which kicks off on the 10th of December," adds Dr Coetzee.
