This year, the challenge is focused on song and dance, just how Madiba would want it.
This year’s challenge is centered around the new song, ‘Woza Join Us’, which is set to be released by the Bhambayi Project on 18 July.
The message of ‘Woza Join Us’ is that everyone can ignite hope. It doesn’t matter how young you are or how little you have, you can change the world for good.

Mandela had a dream - and so do we.
The Bhambayi Project has a dream of this song’s message taking root in hearts across our nation, reaching far and wide.
Not only is there a song, but as you can see below, there's even a dance movie to accompany it.
Bhambayi Project’s energetic and creative dance teacher, Sbonelo Bhengu, provides an easy-to-follow dance tutorial to the 'Woza Join Us' song.
The goal is to get the message of the 'Woza Join Us' song and video out there to the people.
It doesn’t matter how little you have or how young you are, as a human being you can change the world for good. You can ignite hope in South Africa this Mandela Day!
