Canadian doctors protest against salary increase
Who doesn’t want a salary increase, right? Well, apparently Canadian doctors feel that they don't need one.
Protests in demand of an increase to one’s salary are not uncommon. In fact, they happen so often that it isn’t shocking news anymore. However, doctors in Canada have made a bold move protesting against just that!
The doctors have decided to down tools after receiving what they deem to be a “shocking” pay increase. Medical officers in the Canadian province of Quebec have decided to reject the raise and demanded that it be cancelled as a means to highlight the plight of hard-working nurses, clerks, and other professionals who are not as privileged.

When Carol and Ricky caught wind of the news, they decided to share their views on it.
"I think it's nice that the doctors in Canada are so noble. It would be nice if the same could be done in SA but I think all fraternities would need a raise. Inflation in SA is showing all middle class South Africans flames. Good job though, doctors in Canada," says Carol.
While Ricky adds: "I dream of a day when I earn too much money and need to protest it."
