Updated | By Nokuthula Ngcobo
Virus hunter, virologist, and bioinformatician Prof Tulio de Oliveira joined Darren, Keri, and Sky to answer burning questions following findings of a new vaccine by Moderna.

Last week on the show, we had South Africa's leading epidemiologist Prof Salim Adfool Karim, who talked about the Pfizer vaccine; labeling it 'a game-changer.'
This week, reports about a new vaccine by Moderna which has been found to be more effective than the Pfizer vaccine and does not need refrigeration, have been making headlines.
Can South Africa afford either one of these vaccines and how will we keep the Pfizer vaccine at -80 Degrees Celsius?
What would the effect be if people refuse to be vaccinated?
How can we be sure to trust the vaccine, as many people believe it won’t be safe because it was rushed?
Sweden believed in Herd Immunity and now they are facing a disaster, what have they done wrong?
Do we have the capacity as a country to live carefree during the holiday season?
Prof Tulio de Oliveira answers these questions in the podcast below.
