The letter struck a chord on social media, with many sending messages of comfort.

It's almost time for the Christmas season and that means some children are excited to write to Santa Claus, asking him for presents.
While many are asking for toys and clothes, a little boy in America wrote a letter asking if God still loves him for being gay.

The letter by the little boy named Will was found by a Twitter user on the The United States Postal Service’s Operation Santa website.
"Dear Santa, do you support the LGBTQ community and if you can speak to God, can you tell him I love him, and if he loves me for being gay,” the letter read.
