Boy with rare genetic disorder gets his wish
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
ER24 Paramedics made little Aidan's dreams come true before he went into theatre for a surgery.
The 7-year-old was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Costello Syndrome when he was 18 months old. Costello Syndrome affects various parts of the body.
Every three months Aidan has to have abdominal scans to screen for cancerous tumours. He also has to undergo heart scans as he has a thickened left ventricle wall.

His recent surgery was to remove growths that have grown under his eyelids and to cheer him up before the procedure, Aidan's mom wrote to ER24 Paramedics.
“Aidan loves emergency services… firefighters, police officers, paramedics, ambulances… he gets so excited. With the run up to this operation and Aidan having so many bad experiences, I thought about having a fireman, police officer or paramedic visit him to take the edge off."
She put a message on Facebook stating that Aidan was not dealing well with the idea of another hospital visit. She requested a visit from any emergency service, and this was their amazing response...
