Today on The Big Favour, Kuben Naidoo wrote to us to ask that we assist his mom. Not only has she lost her husband due to illness, but because of the recent floods, she's also lost everything.
The flood caused massive problems for Kuben and his mom, especially because she's living on her own.
They had to flee from their home the night of the KZN Floods and were displaced for a month.

On 2 May 2022, they returned home to start the clean up process. They are a young family with three children aged 3, 6 and 10 in the household.
To make matters worse, they had cancelled home insurance during the COVID-19 pandemic as they could no longer afford it.
Kuben has been pleading for help to fix up the house for his family. They need help to remove large amounts of sand and reroute the stream.
After hearing this extraordinary story, many people were moved and wanted to help out Kuben and his family. In came Jessica Singh, who is the Chairperson of the East Coast Knights.
Jessica and her team from the East Coast Toyota Knights KZN reached out to us and wanted to help Kuben's mom and family in the best way possible.
