Beloved voice actor of hit animation 'Up' dies at age 91

The seven-time Emmy-winning actor, Ed Asner, has passed away.

One of the most amazing Walt Disney productions, 'Up', has seen their main character Carl Fredricksen lose his life at age 91.
We might have known him for this popular movie but he was quite the decorated actor.
Asner was best known for playing Lou Grant on both The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Lou Grant, proving his comedic and dramatic acting chops. He was also the former president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Asner's passing was confirmed by his family on his Twitter account on Sunday morning.
We are sorry to say that our beloved patriarch passed away this morning peacefully. Words cannot express the sadness we feel. With a kiss on your head- Goodnight dad. We love you.

In Emmys history, he stands as the most decorated and he also received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2001.
He holds five Golden Globe Awards and earned his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1992.
He truly had a lengthy and successful Hollywood career before landing the leading Pixar role.
