Themba Zwane's suspension gave Thembinkosi Lorch a chance to
prove his worth in the national team against Egypt - and he didn't disappoint.
The Orlando Pirates wizard scored the solitary goal which saw South Africa knock the Pharaohs out of this year's tournament.
Up next, they now do battle with Nigeria in the quarterfinals and there's an air of optimism among South Africans that they can do it again.
They managed to remain unbeaten against the Super Eagles in the qualifiers, beating them in Abuja and drawing in Johannesburg.
Stuart Baxter's men should be able to record a victory here.
