Did these Aussie twins just break the Matrix on live TV?

You won’t believe your eyes! Two Aussie twins synced up on live TV, leaving the internet stunned and wondering – are they telepathic, or is the Matrix glitching?

Just when we thought Australia had given us everything – from spiders the size of dinner plates to kangaroos throwing hands and Chris Hemsworth – along come the Powers twins to scramble the simulation.

Bridgette and Paula Powers (yes, that’s their real surname, no Marvel contract… yet), locally known as “The Twinnies”, appeared on 7News Queensland earlier this week.

They gave an eyewitness account of their mother’s run-in with an armed carjacker.

Instead of just telling the story like, you know, humans… they did what can only be described as a live-action twin telepathy performance, with matching blue bunny outfits and all.

We’re talking near-flawless, sentence-sharing, soul-linking synchronicity that left viewers questioning whether they’d accidentally tuned into an episode of 'Black Mirror: Outback Edition'.

As the news anchor led viewers into the tale, no one was ready for the Robot Remix that followed.

The Powers twins launched into their tale like a glitched Siri on double speed.

Their mother (apparently the real superhero in this story) ran towards the bloodied carjacker (brave), tried to distract him with sheer maternal energy (braver), and then ninja-vanished into nearby bushes as he threatened, “I’ll find you and I’ll shoot you.”

Think 'The Shining' twins meet 'The Matrix', on Easter Sunday.

Check out the weird moment below:

Naturally, the internet absolutely exploded.

@GQ7171_pgh dropped the bombshell: “The matrix is cracking.”

@ScottMightKnow clearly didn’t: “I think they need to patch a few bugs in the simulation.”

@Synsei1 with the hard-hitting science: “Are they connected via Bluetooth?”

And our personal favourite, @Alessandro_hodl: “I had to double-check that it wasn’t one woman standing next to a mirror at one point.”

The clip has been viewed over four million times on X, with many suggesting the Powers sisters might be more than just twins.

Possibly clones, or maybe NPCs from an open-world game who glitched into our realm.

Either way, one thing’s for sure: this Easter bunny sighting wasn’t cute. It was chaotic.

It was compelling and it might just be proof that the universe is running out of RAM.
