1. First batch of COVID-19 vaccines to arrive in SA next week
According to Health Minister Zweli Mkhize, the COVID-19 vaccine from India will arrive in South Africa from Monday next week. The million doses of the vaccine will be used to vaccinate healthcare workers. According to the minister, the vaccine will leave India on Sunday evening via Dubai and arrive at OR Tambo on Monday morning.

2. KZN surfers take to waters in protest of 'senseless' lockdown restrictions
Durban surfers who hit the waves this week, but were confronted by the police, claim they had not violated any of the COVID-19 Disaster Management Act regulations and were simply exercising their right to practise their sport. There were about eight surfers with boards and a private boat that went out to sea. They were in fact breaking the law.

3. SAHPRA confirm controlled and compassionate access to Ivermectin
The SA Health Products Regulatory Authority (Sahpra) announced on Wednesday that it had authorised a limited “compassionate and controlled access programme” for Ivermectin to be used to treat COVID-19. To date, the drug has not been authorised for human use in SA. Detailed guidelines for what this controlled access would entail will be revealed later in the week and will evolve as data emerges.

4. Tugela Falls named one of world's most Instagrammed waterfalls
Tugela Falls in KwaZulu-Natal features among the world’s most Instagrammed waterfalls. Interested in tourist hot spots, Showerstoyou.co.uk spokesperson Laura Solloway said they collated Instagram hashtags for waterfalls around the world, to reveal the most popular waterfalls on social media.
5. Netflix announces Brooklyn Nine-Nine season seven
After what feels like an eternity, season seven of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is finally set to land on Netflix UK and Ireland on the 26th of March 2021. It will probably be released on South African Netflix on the 27th of March.
