1. Ma Rainey's Black Bottom
The film is set in 1927 at a Chicago music studio with a fiery, fearless blues singer, Ma Rainey. This movie stars Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman among others.
The film is based on August Wilson's 1982 play, tells the story of a recording session for Ma Rainey in 1927 Chicago. During the course of a hot day, tensions rise between fearless Ma and the white management executives who want control of her music.

Maya Vargas (Jennifer Lopez) is the assistant manager of a convenience store, where she has worked for the past 15 years. She hopes for a promotion soon after she dramatically improved the store's sales. With no college degree, she asks her godson to rebuild her background online, giving her a Harvard degree and world travel. This lands her in a large cosmetics company.

3. Hairspray
In 1962, ambitious plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad tries to integrate a racially divided Baltimore. Hairspray is a 2007 musical romantic comedy film based on the 2002 Broadway musical, 'Hairspray'.
The film was directed and choreographed by Adam Shankman and has an ensemble cast including John Travolta as a woman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes, James Marsden, Queen Latifah and Nikki Blonksy.

4. Tallulah
Tallulah steals from guests at a nearby hotel, only for intoxicated mother, Carolyn, to mistake Tallulah as housekeeping staff. To Tallulah's confusion, Carolyn lets her child wander around naked and play with dangerous objects and admits that she is not invested in being a mother. Carolyn leaves her toddler, Maddy, in Tallulah's care, while she goes on a date with a man who is not her husband.
She then takes the child into her own care pretending its her own. The film features Elliot Page, Allison Janney and Tammy Blanchard.

5. Becoming
