Holiday season is a time of rest for everyone. Most people take leave and some half days just so they can rest and rejuvenate themselves for the coming year.
Netflix is slowly becoming the main place that people go to enjoy movies, series, documentaries, cartoon and the likes.

The streaming platform is perfect as it has the ultimate variety of films that one can watch with family and friends - from horror and crime to comedy, romance and musicals.
So here are some of those movies you will find on Netflix which might not yet fall under classics but just might in the next 10 - 20 years.
Hairspray
The musical follows a dance-loving teenager, Tracy Turnbland in the 1960s in the town, Baltimore. She auditions for a spot on "The Corny Collins Show" and wins. But before all that happens she goes through struggles as she wishes for the show to be accessible to black dancers as well in a time where they had to be separate.
She becomes an overnight celebrity, a trendsetter in dance, fun and fashion. Perhaps her new status as a teen sensation is enough to topple Corny's reigning dance queen and bring racial integration to the show.
If you're into musicals, it's perfect.

Crazy Rich Asians
If you love a movie with a happily ever after, this is it. Rachel Chu accompanies her boyfriend to his best friend's wedding in Singapore. On the flight there she learns that he is from an extremely wealthy family and considered to be one of the country's most eligible bachelors.
She is now also forced to be in the spotlight and face the bitterness of the women who are eyeing her boyfriend, Nick, and some difficult family members including Nick's mom.
If you're into comedy, drama and romance then this is a perfect watch.

Monster-in-Law
Another happily ever after type story for the lovers of cheesy romance movies.
Charlotte meets Dr. Kevin Fields and they instantly click. After Dr. Fields proposes she later realizes that Kevin's mom is not ready to have his only son's attention taken by someone else.
Will she settle for second best in her fiancé's life?

Ocean's 8
Debbie Ocean has been planning the biggest heist of her life for five years, eight months, 12 days and counting. She gathers a team of people who are their best in their respective fields of crime and fraud.

With a team of people she has never met but have the same goal, will they nail this heist without getting caught?

Bohemian Rhapsody
This is an iconic musical based on a real life story. The artist, Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen defies all stereotypes and convention to become one of history's most beloved entertainers.
The band's revolutionary sound and popular songs lead to Queen's bewildering rise in the 1970s. After leaving the group to pursue a solo career, Mercury reunites with Queen for the benefit concert Live Aid.
