2017 was the year of the Durban waves on the beachfront

2017 was an interesting year for the weather and had many East Coasters surprised by the unusual patterns.
If there's one thing we can be certain of in 2017, it was that it was a year of strange weather patterns. From snowfall during summer to torrential rains which brought Durban to a standstill, it was a year full of surprises.
Amidst all that, we will always remember the massive waves which shook the Durban beachfront back in March. The North Beach area made headlines for the massive waves which were caused as a result of Cyclone Enawo which then battered the coast of Madagascar and made its way to Durban.

Plenty of footage made the rounds on social during the time, but we will never forget the footage that Craig Dove uploaded which received over 700,000 views and hundreds of comments.
