Singing to babies is a natural part of parenting when your little ones are still in their mom's bellies.

Both moms and dads are told that talking and singing to their babies while they are growing in the womb can be helpful in their growth and also helps them recognise you when they come into the world.

Singing helps with bonding and transitioning.

"Singing makes your voice the first and most influential voice in your baby's life. Your baby learns that you LOVE them. Singing also helps babies with transitioning. Babies feel safe when life is predictable. A song for waking up, sleeping, and other routine transitions and activities helps them know what comes next." (Naeyc)

Now, when singing for your babies, you would not often expect a parent to choose a song by Snoop Dogg...

Well, that has a lot to do with the type of parent you are and your taste in music. Believe it or not, not all parents remember the nursery rhymes they grew up listening to.

So, naturally, this mom chose to sing Snoop Dogg's 'Drop It Like It's Hot'

Watch this mom singing to her baby, who seems to enjoy it.
