"I've been driving for five years and I still can't park!"

This woman asks a pretty obvious question: why do instructors use poles to teach learner drivers how to park when in the real world there are no poles?

We’re not buying into the outdated stereotype that men are better drivers than women, because let’s be real, both genders have their fair share of good and not-so-good drivers.

There’s no need for shaming, but we do respect people who own their truth.

That’s why we had to share this video of a woman who openly admits that, despite driving for five years, she still doesn’t know how to park.

Now, that’s fascinating – because at some point, every driver has to park. So how did she manage all these years without parking?

Divya Gauri shared a video on social media explaining how she aced her driver's licence test – nailing both parallel parking and alley docking.

Yet, five years later, she still struggles to park in the real world.

Her challenge? The difference between driving lessons and reality.

During training and the test, she practised using poles as markers, but out on the road, those poles are replaced with real cars, making parking a whole new ball game.

Others jumped into the comment section, sharing their thoughts on the matter, and believe it or not, she had a good following of people who agreed with her.

The real question is: can you call yourself a great driver if you cannot park?

  • "Agreed! they never took us to an actual mall or carpark and showed us, I also suck at parking."

  • "Reverse camera ... that's your solution."

  • "Buy the polo TSI. It parks itself. I have that."

  • "Been driving for 40 years still struggle."
