Do you eat food items while shopping?
Many people do this one thing whilst shopping, are you one of them? Or are you against this?
We all do things while shopping that may not be acceptable to the collective, but we do them nonetheless.
Some might use the express queue when they have more than ten items, others might park their trolleys or shopping carts in the middle of aisles, and then some cannot control their hunger or cravings, so they eat items they have yet to pay for.
This last thing has left many South Africans on the fence recently after they saw a post of a man who arrived at the cashier with what looked like an empty fruit container and a squashed chocolate wrapper.
In the video, we see a man standing at the cashier's counter, waiting to hand over his groceries for scanning. But the man doesn't just have sealed items in his trolley.
He has an empty fruit container and a chocolate wrapper without the chocolate. Now, this practice has been around for some time and has become acceptable in supermarkets, and no one says much about it.
Sometimes, it can be an emergency; for instance, a shopper might have diabetes and is experiencing low blood sugar whilst shopping, and then they eat an item before paying for it.
