Do your colleagues have office pageant titles?

Do your colleagues have office pageant titles?

Announcing these is a little tricky because some are quite literal and may come across as harsh. Just a heads-up: we’re not taking any responsibility for the drama that might unfold after hearing your office pageant title.

Most team members have "names" for their colleagues. Whether you call them nicknames or code names, there's an important distinction in the workplace.

Nicknames are known by everyone, while code names are more like undercover labels that some colleagues use for those they might not get along with.

Today on the show, Danny Guselli is asking KZN to share their office pageant names.

They can be fun and lighthearted or, in some cases, reflect a 'Mean Girls' vibe – but we’re definitely not going down that route.

Some people were happy to share their fun office pageant names with us on social media, and we couldn't help but laugh.

"Well, I was Ms. Google (because I literally knew it all), then there was Ms. i-THINK-i-know-it-all, Mrs. Gossip Queen, Mr. Universe, Mr. Womanizer. We also had Don Juan, and wait for it, Chuck Norris, and a B.A Baracus (from the A-Team)," said Michelle Maistry.

We enjoyed seeing co-workers embrace the lighter side of their personalities with their work families.

Need a little inspiration for playful office pageant names? We asked AI for some ideas:

  • Office Diva

  • Most Likely to Get Coffee

  • Best Desk Decorator

  • King/Queen of the Printer

  • Office Rockstar

  • Human Calendar

  • Master of the Microwave

  • Office Gossip Queen/King

  • The Human Filing Cabinet

  • Office Supermodel

  • The Office Meme Master

The longer you work with someone, the more likely it is that you'll get to know their personality – and eventually crown them with an office pageant title.
