Controversial 'cow dung' video raises eyebrows
Updated | By East Coast Radio
People's sense of taste and traditional foods are always unique to us...
A controversial video that has sparked some chatter shows a group of men slicing and serving what people have assumed is cow poop.
Of course, we can understand how this might be shocking to many, but after watching the video and conducting some research, we've found some interesting information.
It could be the cow's cud, the chewed-up grass stored in its stomach and brought up later to chew again. In other words, it could be food from the cow's intestine, which, again, might be stored in the cud.

One of the social media users who saw the video commented that this is part of Laos culture. When a cow or buffalo is butchered for special occasions, every part of the animal is used to feed the village.
They said: "Yes, we have the dipping sauce that contains mixed spices and herbs with little cow dung, just a little; however, I have never seen anyone eating these like a cake before. For more details, the cow dung is from the small intestines of the cow that they butchered that same day; no one eats the dung that cow already pooped out on the ground because it has dangerous bacteria." We found another video of a man who visits different places eating exciting foods. Bao Eats is the name of his YouTube channel, and he came across a dish in Vietnam that is made with the intestine of the cow, which is technically 'cow poop'.

It is also interesting to note that cow dung is used as coal for many Indian street vendors who swear by the flavour that it brings to the food they cook.
