Content creator sarcastically praises taxis for their logic

Hmmm... we’re not sure if everyone can find a silver lining when it comes to taxis, but this guy definitely manages to do so – thanks to a hefty dose of cynicism.

It’s not the first time we’ve witnessed taxis flouting the law on South African roads, and we doubt it will be the last.

However, it’s refreshing to see content creator Byron Davel tackle the issue head-on, calling out the reckless behavior of taxis attempting to beat traffic.

Davel, known for his focus on traffic and taxi-related content, combines a skillful mix of cynicism, humour, and sharp insight in his approach.

Social media has become a platform for many things, but one thing that remains constant is its role as a space for self-expression. Whether in South Africa or globally, social media users continue to exercise their freedom of speech, offering both entertainment and important commentary when you know where to look.

Check out the video Davel posted, where he humorously praises taxi drivers for their ability to think efficiently. While his tone may seem sincere at first, after watching more of his content, it’s clear that he’s using satire to address the chaotic traffic tactics of taxi drivers.

In this particular video, he even dubs them "masterminds".

Have a look at the video from Instagram.

In this Instagram video, Davel takes his acting to new heights, dramatically expressing his sadness for taxi drivers who are forced to drive on dirt roads.

We love seeing how people use social media to highlight relatable experiences for South Africans.

Dealing with taxis is a daily reality for many motorists. Why not tackle it with a bit of humour? It’s a great way to relieve stress and share a laugh.
