According to Times Live, footage of an attempted kidnapping which took place at Rembrandt Park, Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon shows 21-year-old Charmaine Erick walking home from college.
The video shows a white van pulling up to the girl. Then a man jumps out and begins chasing her. She screamed and fought back, and luckily managed to get away from the man who jumped back into the van, and proceeded to speed off.
Thankfully her home was merely a few metres away, so she managed to run inside safely without being harmed. It is reported that they did not take any of her valuables, and her sister said that it was more than likely a kidnapping attempt.
