Theme park fun turns into nightmare
Updated | By Damon Beard
What would you do if this had to happen to you?
Have you ever been to a funfair and been on a rollercoaster or big wheel and panicked that you may get stuck?
Well, people were recently left dangling upside down for over an hour after a ride jammed.
Riders were left stuck in a second carriage around 30 feet off the ground when the ride stopped moving and it took staff at the theme park nearly two hours to get everybody off the ride, which is billed as the ‘world’s most terrifying rollercoaster’.
I think this would be my worst fear ever!
I've been on a big wheel before and it got stuck while I was at the very top. That scared me to bits - not only because we were stuck, but because I could see them telling people to clear the scene below.
Turns out there was a suspicious looking parcel that had been found and for safety reasons, they cleared the area.
We were stuck for 30 minutes and that was the most anxious and terrifying half hour ever!
@THORPEPARK these individuals have been stuck on SAW for more than 10 minutes. What's going on please? I'm highly concerned about my safety pic.twitter.com/W2wDNEJSoO
