The Belgian TV show that openly pokes fun at minorities

Shouldn't there be a line that one should never cross when it comes to getting a laugh from an audience? This show is dividing the masses.
Being a television producer is hard work, and coming up with new concepts that will entice and entertain your audience can be a challenging task. The problem is most of the ideas have already aired before. I mean, who wants to watch something that's already been done before?
Well, a new Belgian TV show, called 'Taboo', has come up with an interesting concept in which they poke fun at minorities, including the obese, disabled, and even people with mental illnesses.

Daily Mail reports that the 'victims' are selected to share their stories with the world before comedian and show presenter, Philippe Guebels, does a comedy skit based on what he has heard from them.
As much as you would think that it would ruffle feathers, it seems as if the show is a hit, as it has already broken TV records. Production companies from other countries have now jumped on board and want to buy the production rights.
But is this type of TV show acceptable? I know they always say that laughter is the best medicine, and you should laugh your troubles and bad situations away, but should there not be a line that we should not cross when it comes to humour?
