I came across this shocking footage on my newsfeed and it completely floored me after seeing it. It shows a man punching a young woman in the face after she apparently flicked a match at him.
According to UNILAD, the incident took place outside a nightclub where it's believed that the man tried to blow out the girl's match as she attempted to light up a cigarette.
She was reportedly irritated by this and flicked the match at him jokingly, and this is when he took a swipe at her and left her knocked out, lying on the cold, hard ground.
As we know, incidents like this can be fatal. Just a few weeks ago I heard about a 59-year-old man who died after a 16-year-old boy punched him in the face - all because he was trying to act all macho.

Firstly, none of us want to go out at night and have our safety put at risk by possibly being set alight, and there's also no room for violence at a nightclub, but is flicking a match at someone enough to warrant this type of behaviour, especially when it's a man hitting a woman?
It is unknown how bad her injuries are, but I really hope that she makes a full recovery and that it wasn't too serious. I can't even begin to fathom how she must have felt after this happened to her?

Here's how social media reacted after seeing the distressing video:
Do you think this woman provoked him enough for him to hit her? Or was his reaction completely over-the-top?
